Advise: Never ever choose any subjects because they are easy and you get good grades for. Study the market requirement and choose your line accordingly. Speak with your advisor frequently and let them know what path you would like to go in for.

Exams written are GRE and TOEFL. I prepared for 4 months for GRE and TOEFL. Book referred: Princeton's GRE. GRE essays for writing section. I did not attend any coaching classes and would recommend not to attend such coaching classes before taking up exams. I spent 20 days for TOEFL. I came to US on F1 visa. Visa interview was ok. They asked me for financial proof like Bank account etc. Few questions on my education. Nothing serious. I came by Cathay Pacific. Baggage rules are: 23*2 Check-In bags, 1 bag of 8 kg's for Cabin. I had exceeded baggage limits because of books and eatables. But I didn't face any problem. My seniors had come to receive me at the airport.

I am happy with the way my program has been structured. Professors here are excellent. But along with their help self study is the best approach to get good grades. Any kind of doubts, please approach your professors to get all your doubts clarified. They'll surely help you out. Lecture halls are very well equipped with LCD screens, podium and speaker phones. Library facilities are awesome. There is a facility to get books from other universities by using inter-library books facility.

I would suggest never take up college accommodations as they are very expensive for Indian Students.

There is a placement cell in our campus. I had applied for 5 companies through placement facility at university. I was able to get calls from 3 companies. In this recession time, it's a bit tough to get into any good company. But my university helped us a lot in finding appropriate jobs. We do have a alumni society in our campus. It becomes easy to get into job with the help of Alumni. You have to submit your CV and wait for the companies to shortlist your profile.
